My ginger bug soda popped open during a video call

I was showing my cousin my new ginger bug ferment on a video chat, and I gave the bottle a little shake to demonstrate the bubbles. It must have been too active because the cap flew off and sprayed my laptop screen with fizzy liquid. She thought I was doing a weird science experiment and couldn't stop laughing while I wiped ginger off my camera.

Ginger spray isn't as harmless as it seems. It can cause real pain and damage.

Ever had a close call with that stuff? It burns like crazy and can really hurt someone. Not something to play around with.
