That one Tuesday where we lost the whole kitchen remodel

We showed up to a job in Portland at 7am and the homeowner's dog had chewed through the brand new LVP planks we delivered the day before. By noon, the cabinets arrived and they were the wrong color - some kind of mix up at the warehouse. Then at 3pm, my crew lead told me he had to leave early because his kid got sick at school. I spent the next four hours on the phone with the supplier and the cabinet company trying to fix things. Has anyone else had a day where absolutely everything that could go wrong actually did?

...and that's when I remembered reading something a while back about how remodeling jobs have something like a 70% chance of at least one major hiccup on any given day. Your Tuesday sounds like it was the unlucky one that hit the jackpot on all of them. I've seen some doozies in my time, but losing a whole day to a dog and a cabinet mixup is a special kind of nightmare. The kid getting sick is just the universe piling on for good measure. Hope the supplier and cabinet company made it right, because that kind of triple whammy can really put you behind schedule for the whole week.

Man you're not wrong about that 70% stat, but I think mine are like 110% because I once had a job where the homeowner's cat literally sat on the plans while we were walking the site. The dog thing and the cabinet mixup are brutal though, hopefully the universe is done messing with you for the week.
