The survey that added 3 weeks to my closing date
I found a house I loved in Austin back in March and thought everything was going smooth until the title company found an old survey from 1987 that didn't match the current fence line. My realtor said it would be a quick fix but it took 22 days to get a new survey done because the surveyor was booked solid. The seller's agent kept saying "it's fine" but nobody wanted to sign off without the updated paperwork. Has anyone else had a tiny property line issue blow up into a huge delay?

Did your realtor actually push the surveyor to prioritize your job or just let it sit in the queue? 22 days seems long even for a busy shop, makes me wonder if someone dropped the ball. What did the old fence line actually show that was so different from whats there now?

Did your surveyor also charge you by the hour like mine did while they stared at my fence for 20 minutes?
