Hit 1000 square feet of plank vinyl in a single day and my back is screaming

It was a big open plan kitchen and living room in a new build, no cuts for cabinets or doors. I used a full case of that new ProCore locking stuff and just kept going. Anyone else ever push past what you thought was a hard limit?

Pushing past a hard limit like that is brutal. I did a similar marathon install on my own place. The only thing that saved me was a good knee pad and setting a timer to force a five minute stretch break every hour, even when I didn't want to stop.

My cousin's a physical therapist and she says most DIY injuries happen in the last hour when people rush. The timer trick is smart.

The timer trick saved me too when I tiled my whole bathroom floor last summer. @brooke475 is right, that last hour is dangerous, I messed up my back rushing to finish one section. A cheap foam knee pad from the hardware store was the best ten bucks I ever spent on that project.
