Backyard herbs changed my mind about sourcing greens
I always stuck with wholesale greenery for arrangements. Last week, for a small party, I clipped some lavender and sage from my yard (just to save time). The fragrance was a hit, and everything stayed perky for hours. I'm definitely doing this more often.

Those herbs stayed perky for hours? My wholesale greens start to droop after two. I guess local really does make a difference. I'm going to have to try this.

My basil last summer looked so sad by noon it could have been a prop in a zombie movie (seriously, wilted over the side of the pot like it gave up on life). Meanwhile, the mint I forgot in a cup on the counter stayed crisp for three days. I'm clearly better at ignoring plants than actually keeping them alive. Your post gives me hope that if I just pick stuff right before I need it, I might not kill the vibe. Fresh really is a different game.
