Pro tip: Swore off filler greens until a wedding order changed my mind.

Yeah I used to skip them too but they're a game changer. They add texture and make a small amount of flowers feel intentional, not cheap. Total shift from just padding to actually designing.

Saw a florist on YouTube breaking down how filler greens actually save money and make colors stand out. She said skipping them forces you to use more blooms, which gets pricey fast. Now I always add some eucalyptus or whatever's cheap locally. Makes everything look fuller without blowing the budget. Honestly, calling it padding misses the point, it's more like setting the stage for the main flowers.
