Wrestled with my conscience over those perfect but fake-looking silk flowers

So, I had this regular who always orders centerpieces for her office, and last time she asked for silk flowers because they last longer. I knew the ones she wanted were cheap imports that probably weren't made ethically, but they looked great and saved her money. I ordered them anyway, and while setting up, I couldn't shake the feeling I was pushing plastic instead of real beauty. Later, I read up on how those factories work, and it just felt wrong, like I was choosing convenience over what's right. Now, every time I stock those silks, I think about it, and I'm slowly swapping them for better-made options even if it costs more. It's a small thing, but it changed how I see my whole inventory. Maybe I'm overthinking, but once you know, you can't unknow it. Time to be more picky about where stuff comes from, even if it means fewer sales sometimes.

Stopped using my old supplier and made sure they were legit. People still bought them, honestly.

My first order from a sketchy supplier had missing parts, but folks didn't even notice. I was so paranoid about quality that I overchecked everything, and still messed up the packaging. Your move to legit suppliers is SMART, but it's funny how customers sometimes don't care either way. I once sent out a product with my cat's hair stuck in it, and someone called it 'special'. So yeah, making sure they're legit matters more for my peace of mind than for sales, apparently. Glad it worked out for you, even if the customers are blissfully unaware.
