I used to think ketchup on eggs was fine until a diner in Boise
I was at a place called Goldy's last fall and saw someone put hot sauce on their scrambled eggs instead. Tried it myself and it was a total game changer, way better than the sweet ketchup I'd used since I was a kid. Anyone else have a basic condiment swap that completely changed a meal for them?

Ever put mayo on a grilled cheese instead of butter? Felt like a total crime at first. My mom always used butter. Tried mayo on the outside of the bread one desperate, butter-less night. It crisps up way better, gets this perfect golden crust. I felt like I'd been lied to my whole life.

My grandma in Spokane always used mayo on her grilled cheese. I tried it once and the smell alone was enough to put me off. It leaves a weird, greasy film on the roof of my mouth. Give me real butter any day, it just tastes cleaner and more like toast. That mayo trick is a hard pass for me.
