Question about a weird pizza topping combo I got roasted for

My friend said my go-to of pineapple, jalapeno, and extra anchovies was 'a war crime' and now I'm second-guessing my whole pizza order, so has anyone else had a combo they loved get totally shut down?

Extra anchovies on top of pineapple is a bold move.

Actually, anchovies go under the cheese, not on top of the pineapple. They'd burn otherwise.

Honestly, a buddy of mine tried that once and ended up with a smoky kitchen and a pizza that looked like a crime scene. @gray_roberts, you're braver than most because he swore off anchovies on top for good after that disaster. Tbh, under the cheese is the only way to go if you actually want to taste 'em without the burnt flavor.
