Saw a diner in Boise putting peanut butter on their chili dogs
I was grabbing lunch at a little spot called The Griddle last Thursday, and the guy next to me ordered a chili dog with a huge scoop of creamy peanut butter on top. He swore it was the perfect combo, said it 'cuts the heat and adds a creamy richness.' Has anyone actually tried this, or is this a local thing I just haven't heard of?

That sounds like a total crime against food.

My cousin once put ketchup on vanilla ice cream and called it a gourmet experiment. I'm pretty sure that's the actual legal definition of a food crime. The court would sentence her to a lifetime of eating plain toast.

Maybe it's the texture clash that gets me. Like, some things just aren't meant to be soggy or crunchy in that specific way, you know? I mean, idk, but combining certain flavors can actually ruin them both separately.
