Warning: The afternoon crunch of chips and salsa at my old job is gone now

We had this big bowl of tortilla chips and fresh salsa in the break room every day around three. Everyone would stop by for a minute, grab a handful, and talk about nothing important. Since I started working from my apartment, I just snack on whatever I have alone. It hits me how that simple combo brought a bit of life to the grind.

Honestly, the chips and salsa were doing more for team morale than any of our actual meetings. Now my biggest coworker is my cat judging my snack choices.

Seriously, pets judge hard. I started sharing snack pics with my team, and it boosted our mood.

Saw a study once about how sharing small things like snack photos creates a sense of belonging. It's like a tiny, low-pressure way to connect. My old office had a channel just for pictures of people's coffee mugs. Sounds silly, but it made the place feel less stiff. Those little moments of normal life cut through the work stress.
