Can we talk about the push for super plain designs on craft beer cans?

Honestly, I miss the wild artwork and think it gave more character than the basic logos everyone uses now.

Yeah my buddy bought a six-pack last week just for the old space dragon label he remembered, but the new design was just the brewery name in basic text. He said it felt like buying a different beer even though the recipe was the same, just totally lost the fun vibe it used to have.

My local coffee shop did that last year, switched from this cool hand drawn mural of a fox on the wall to just plain beige paint and a sleek logo. The espresso tasted exactly the same, but sitting there felt like waiting in a bank lobby instead of a neighborhood spot (which kinda defeated the whole point for me). They said it was to "refresh the brand" but it just washed all the personality right out of the place. I still go sometimes out of habit, but I definitely don't linger with a book like I used to.
