Am I the only one who feels like trail etiquette has vanished since lockdown ended?

On my hike yesterday, I had to step off the path five times to let large, noisy groups pass, and it made me question if the quiet respect for nature is fading.

I might be guilty of that sometimes myself! Last week I was hiking with a buddy and we got so caught up in conversation that we probably blocked the path for a minute. It does seem like the post-lockdown rush has brought out more people who treat nature like a social club. I've even seen groups having full-blown picnics right on the narrow trails. We should all try to be more aware and keep the peace for everyone.

Actually, I thought it was fine until this post.

Yeah, calling nature a "social club" is too real lol. I've definitely been the oblivious chatterbox who turns a trail into a personal meeting room. My friends still tease me about the time I halted a whole group to point out a weird shaped rock. You just get caught up and forget anyone else might want to get by. Makes me cringe now but hey, live and learn.
