I finally threw out my resistance bands after the third snap this month

My home workout routine depends on resistance bands for most exercises, but they keep breaking at the worst times. Just yesterday, one snapped while I was doing chest presses, and it whipped back hard. I bought these bands from a popular brand, hoping they would hold up. Now I'm worried about using them because I don't want another injury. I tried looking for stronger bands online, but the options are overwhelming. Has anyone dealt with this issue and found a reliable set? I need bands that won't fail during a tough session. Any tips would really help me get back on track.

That whipped back hard part is no joke. I had a similar scare when a cheap jump rope handle flew off and almost took out my eye. Ever since then, I'm paranoid about anything with tension in my home gym. It's crazy how much trust we put in these little pieces of rubber and plastic. Makes you wanna just stick to bodyweight exercises sometimes.

Watched my friend's resistance band snap back and leave a welt on his forearm last month. It made that awful crack sound like a gunshot in his garage. Stuff like that really makes you question all the random gear we buy online.

Check how often that actually happens though. I mean most people use those bands for years without issues.
