Watching my dad struggle with a resistance band made me rethink home fitness accessibility

I was showing my dad some basic exercises with a resistance band, and he had a hard time with the grip. It HIT me that home workouts aren't one-size-fits-all, especially for older adults. Now I'm modifying routines to be more inclusive, and it's deepened our bonding time. Sometimes the best insights come from helping others move better.

Resistance bands are inherently adjustable, so maybe the struggle stems from unfamiliarity, not inaccessibility.

But honestly, even if they adjust, doesn't the lack of clear progression mess people up? Like, how do you actually know you're adding enough tension for real strength gains, not just feeling a stretch? It seems way less exact than grabbing a heavier dumbbell.

On home fitness accessibility, my grandma switched to chair yoga.
