Propagating corals in my tank, and the glue vs. tie method argument is fierce.
Glue is quick but can harm coral, tying is gentle but takes forever.

I mean, idk if the glue actually hurts the coral that much. I've used it a bunch and mine are fine, plus it's so much quicker. Maybe tying is just overkill for most frags.

Wait, gotta disagree here. Sam's onto something with the feeding issue, because I've seen glue kinda smother the coral base over time. Sure it's faster, but watching a frag struggle for months isn't worth saving five minutes. Tying might feel like overkill, but it gives the coral room to grow naturally without that chemical barrier. Slow and steady wins with reefs, even if it tests your patience.

Hey @troy_palmer76, I read that some glues can REALLY irritate corals over time. One article mentioned it could mess with their ability to feed PROPERLY. Still, everyone's tank is different!
