Toss in some lime and cilantro and it goes from just fine to actually good.

@vera_murphy, your point about lime and cilantro making it actually good is spot on. I used to skip quinoa because it tasted so plain to me. After seeing your tip, I tried mixing in fresh lime juice and chopped cilantro, and it made a huge difference. The lime adds a nice zing and the cilantro gives it a fresh taste that I really like now.

Toss in some lime and cilantro is a game changer. I used to think quinoa was just a bland health food you had to suffer through. That little trick makes it actually taste good, and the lime juice seems to help keep the texture from getting weird in the fridge too.
