Brought my own mug to work all week. Less disposable cups. Reminds me of simpler times.

Cutting out disposable cups is such a good habit. It reminds me of my grandma's kitchen, always using the same cups. Things lasted longer back then. We've gotten too used to convenience over quality. My favorite mug has a chip in it, but I still use it every day. Little choices like yours make a difference.

Grandma's kitchen was the same, every cup had a history. I've got a travel mug I've used for five years, and it's covered in dents but still keeps coffee hot. We throw away so much perfectly good stuff just because it's not shiny and new. My favorite part is when people notice my beat-up mug and ask where I got it, like it's some trendy thing. Really it's just because I hate waste and love reliable things.

Saw a buddy get teased for his chipped mug, @owens.nancy. He just shrugged.
