After 3 years of trying, I finally got my lemon tree to produce fruit
I moved into a house in Mission Viejo back in 2020 and the backyard had this sad little Meyer lemon tree that never did anything. Last summer I started reading up on citrus care and found out I was watering it wrong the whole time. I switched to deep watering once a week instead of little sprinkles every day. Then I added some citrus fertilizer from the nursery over on El Toro Road in March this year. Last week I walked out back and spotted three little green lemons starting to grow on the branches. I almost didn't believe it at first so I called my neighbor over to check and she confirmed they were real. Has anyone else had a stubborn fruit tree that finally came around after you changed something small?

Nah, overwatering isn't usually the main issue with lemons in our climate.

That Meyer lemon tree sounds just like my dwarf avocado tree in Laguna Niguel, I babied it for two years with zero fruit then stopped watering it so much and bam, five little avocados showed up this spring.
