Why does nobody mention the Huntington Beach pier parking meters take quarters only?
Drove 20 minutes last Saturday to grab a quick surf session and sat there like an idiot for 10 minutes trying to pay with my card before some old guy tapped on my window and told me the machine hasn't taken plastic since 2019, anyone know if they are ever gonna upgrade those things?

Oh man, the "sat there like an idiot" part REALLY hit home because I did the EXACT same thing last summer. I was out there with my daughter for her first pier walk and I got so frustrated I almost just left. What worked for me was I started keeping a little Ziploc bag of quarters in my glove compartment specifically for that lot. It's SO dumb that they haven't upgraded, especially with how busy it gets, but that bag trick saved my butt more than once now.

The quarter bag trick is genius. I started doing the same thing after getting stuck once.
