Right, payroll for 40 people can get messy fast (especially if you're doing it by hand, eesh). It's kind of like how I noticed everything around me is getting a "shortcut" version these days, from grocery shopping to scheduling appointments. People are just done with the old slow way of doing things, I guess.

Hmm, I don't know if I'd call it people being "done" with the slow way - more like we're just finding better tools that actually work, not shortcuts. Sometimes the old way exists for a reason, and automating a messy process just makes the mess faster lol.
