My dad and I tried to bond over a true crime show once. I told him it was a real thinker, all about this bank heist in Cleveland. He called me back after the first episode just to ask if I was sure I gave him the right name. Turns out he thought it was a home renovation series. Guess my recommendation skills need work.

That mix-up with the home renovation show is actually great. I used to get stressed picking the "perfect" thing to share. Now I see the messed-up recommendations sometimes make the better stories anyway.
