Showerthought: My months of stalking forecasts for the Cozumel wall
I literally spent months glued to buoy data and local diver chats before my Cozumel trip. The morning we went out, the water was so clear it felt like cheating after all that anticipation. Hovering over the wall, watching the light slice through schools of jacks, made every checked forecast worthwhile. That kind of payoff from pure patience really sticks with you. What spots have you had to earn through sheer waiting game?

Seems like a lot of effort for something fundamentally unpredictable. You can stare at buoys for months but the ocean does what it wants the morning you get on the boat. That clarity you found was just luck, same as if you'd rolled in blind. Sometimes the fixation on perfect conditions ruins the actual experience of just being somewhere new.

Anxiety often disguises itself as thorough preparation.
