Hot take: A wall-mounted shelf for my toners and essences cleared my counter.

No more clutter means no more skipped steps.

That's so true about putting things where you can see them. It's like when I moved my most used spices to a rack by the stove, I actually started cooking more. Out of sight really does mean out of mind for a lot of daily stuff. What's the next thing you'd want to get off the counter?

Ugh, my fruit bowl is the worst offender. It sounds nice in theory but it's just a fancy place for fruit to go bad. I'll put bananas in there and forget they exist until they turn completely black. Same with apples, they just sit there getting soft. I keep thinking "visible fruit means I'll eat healthy" but really it just becomes a science experiment.

Wait, do they really turn completely black? That sounds way worse than just forgetting they're there, like you're running a lab for fruit rot. I guess the whole 'see it, use it' plan totally backfired then. It's crazy how something meant to help just makes a bigger mess.
