Customer told me my website was 'too perfect' and lost her trust
Last week a client in Austin said my About page sounded like a script, not a real person. She said she almost clicked away because it felt fake. I rewrote the whole thing in my actual voice, admitted I started my biz in a spare bedroom, and now she's signing up for my $500 package. Has anyone else had to dumb down their professionalism to close a sale?

Man that's real life right there. People can smell fake from a mile away, same reason I'd rather buy food from a dive with character than some spotless chain restaurant.
