Always thought whole-home audio was too much, but a quiet morning with music in every room changed my tune.

Now I get why people say it makes the house feel more alive.

Doesn't the constant sound become a kind of noise pollution? I actually find it really draining to have music or audio playing in every room. For me, the quiet is what makes a home feel peaceful and alive. It lets me actually hear myself think or have a real conversation. Having that background noise everywhere just feels invasive, like it kills any chance for a quiet moment. Don't you miss just hearing the natural sounds of your own house sometimes?

Yeah but that's assuming the sound is always loud or annoying. For me it's more like a low hum just to take the edge off the quiet, which can feel really heavy when you live alone. It's not about filling every second, it's about having a choice so the silence doesn't get too loud, if that makes sense. Some of us use it to quiet the busy thoughts, not to drown out real conversation.

Silence is just better for actually relaxing, you know?
