Fridge compressor died on a Tuesday job in Boise and I had the wrong start relay in my van
Got a call last Tuesday from a lady in Boise whose fridge was warm but the freezer was fine. I popped the back panel and the compressor was humming but not kicking over, so I figured it was the start relay. Thing is, I grabbed the wrong part off my van shelf, the pins didn't match, and I wasted 40 minutes trying to force it before admitting I had the wrong one. Drove 20 minutes to the supply house, grabbed the right relay for $18, and it fired up on the first try. Anyone else keep a running list of parts they always seem to be out of when they need them most?
