I finally hit 500 board jobs in 5 years, here's what surprised me
Crushed my 500th refrigerator compressor swap last Tuesday in the Twin Cities metro. What got me wasn't the number itself, it was how many were the same damn LG linear compressor failure. Maybe it's just confirmation bias from all the recall notices, but I never figured a single brand would dominate that much of my workload. Anyone else tracking their job count and seeing one manufacturer eat up a huge chunk of it?

Ngl, my buddy runs a small shop down in Rochester and he tracked his jobs for a year just out of curiosity. He said almost 40% of his callbacks were LG compressors, same exact issue you're talking about. He even started keeping a separate bin for the failed parts just to see the pile grow. Man, that pile got ugly fast. He finally stopped counting because it just made him mad every time he saw the brand name on a work order.
