Pro tip: Don't waste $150 on a 'universal' dishwasher hose kit like I did last week

Bought a universal dishwasher hose kit for $150 thinking it would save time on an install, but the fittings didn't match my Kenmore and I had to buy a $25 specific part anyway has anyone else been burned by those overpriced universal kits?

Nah I gotta disagree with @abbychen on this one, a good universal kit can be a lifesaver if you just check the fitting sizes before you buy instead of assuming they'll match. I've used the same $30 kit across three different dishwashers without any issues, so maybe you just picked the wrong brand.

Learned that lesson the hard way too. Universal is a scam, just buy the part made for your specific model.
