Rant: That $70 OEM dryer belt I ordered was a total scam
I needed a belt for an older Whirlpool dryer last month and figured paying extra for the official part would be safer. It was 70 bucks and it snapped after just 8 loads. I pulled it out and compared it to a cheap 12 dollar belt I had lying around and they were identical. The OEM one even had the same cheap plastic feel. Has anyone else noticed official parts going downhill like this?

Wow, only 8 loads? That's brutal even for a cheap part, let alone something that cost 70 bucks.

Yeah I've been there. Stick with name brand next time it's worth the extra few bucks.
