Showerthought: I think a lot of us overcomplicate diagnosing intermittent fridge issues.

I spent 2 days chasing a compressor relay when the real problem was a $15 door switch that took 10 minutes to find with a simple continuity test. Anyone else find themselves overthinking the obvious first?

Wait, you spent TWO whole days on that? Honestly that's brutal. I've been there though, tearing apart an appliance looking for some deep electrical fault. Tbh it's always the cheapest, dumbest part that fails. Makes you feel like a genius when you find it but also kind of an idiot for not checking it first.

Our brains love complex puzzles even when the answer is stupid simple.

@matthewgonzalez nailed it. Spent a whole weekend once thinking my dryer had a heating element issue, grabbed my multimeter and everything. Turned out the lint filter just needed a good scrub with soapy water. Ever do something like that?
