Stop using dishwasher pods in front-load machines, here is why

I see this at least twice a month now. People shove those gel pods into the detergent tray of a front-load dishwasher and then call me because it leaves a white film on everything. The pod needs to hit the bottom of the tub and dissolve in the main wash cycle, not get stuck in the tray door. I pulled out a tray last Tuesday that had a half-dissolved pod glued to it from three cycles ago. The owners said they followed the directions on the box. Does anyone else have a standard line you tell customers about this or do you just let them figure it out on their own?
