That Thursday in June where every fridge threw a fit, one after the other
Had a day last July that still bugs me. Three fridge calls back to back, all different neighborhoods, and each one had a sealed system leak. First was a basic no-cool, second was a freezer over-icing, third was a loud compressor hum. Turns out all three had the same bad cap tube from the same batch, weird coincidence. I burned 6 hours and blew through my last tank of R134a that day. Has anyone else seen a run of failures like that from one part supplier? I'm second guessing every sealed system job for a week after that.

My neighbor's ice maker died the same week and I fixed it with a paperclip and a prayer, totally different brand though. That weird batch luck reminds me of when we got a pallet of door gaskets that all smelled like maple syrup, no clue why but every install smelled like breakfast for a month. Maybe some supplier just has a bad quarter and we all pay for it with our weekends.
