The cheap multimeter nearly cost me a compressor, swapped to Fluke mid-call yesterday

I had to choose between finishing a fridge repair with my $15 meter reading 0.2 ohms off or driving 40 minutes back to the shop for my good one, and that false reading made me condemn a start relay that was actually fine, so now I'm asking what budget meters have actually held up for you guys on hard start calls?
