Found a weird stat about B2B video length while looking at old case studies

I was going through some old HubSpot case studies for a project and saw a stat that made me laugh... they said the best length for a B2B explainer video is 37 seconds. Not 30, not 45, but 37. Who times these things? Has anyone else found a specific, oddly precise number like that for their own content?

Probably timed by the same guy who measures coffee breaks.

I mean, the guy with the stopwatch for coffee breaks is a classic office joke for a reason. It just feels like people are looking for stuff to get mad about sometimes. Maybe it's just me but I doubt anyone is actually that worried about how long a break takes. Seems like a weird thing to time in the first place.

Right there with you. 37 seconds is such a weirdly specific number, it sticks in your head in a way that a round number like 30 wouldn't. Probably came from a tiny sample size in some internal test that got written up as gospel. And yeah, @the_blair nailed it, it definitely feels like the same energy as timing coffee breaks down to the second.
