Just dumped $500 on a targeted ad campaign that targeted myself
I set up a LinkedIn ad campaign for our new analytics tool, and somehow my targeting was so narrow it only showed my own profile... got 47 impressions all from me clicking on it. Anyone else accidentally waste budget on ads that just follow you around?

47 impressions all from you clicking on it? That is honestly impressive in a sad way. I guess LinkedIn's algorithm took "targeting" way too literally. Sorry for your wallet, but that is a funny story to tell at least.

Honestly though, I gotta push back a little on the "all from you clicking on it" part. LinkedIn counts impressions differently than clicks sometimes, so it's not always that simple. But yeah, it's close enough to being true that the story is still hilarious in a tragic way. Tbh, I've had similar moments where I realized I was my own target audience and it was just sad. At least you got a good laugh and a story out of it, right?
