Our cold email open rates dropped 40% in under a month - here's what I think happened

We were sitting pretty at 22% open rates for like two years straight. Then in March of this year, it just tanked to 13% basically overnight. I'm pretty sure Google's new spam filters are catching our domain even though we warm up accounts and keep lists clean. Has anyone else seen this big of a drop since the latest Gmail update?

Wait, were you using Gmail's API or just SMTP through their servers? That's the key difference I keep hearing about with these new filter changes.

@oliver_fisher wasn't it the same week YouTube changed their API and everyone's automations just broke?
