Picked between a $2,400 trade show booth in Chicago and a 6-month LinkedIn push, and I still second guess it
We had $2,400 left in the budget last fall and had to choose between a booth at a Chicago trade show or putting it all into LinkedIn ads for 6 months. We went with the show and walked away with 3 real leads and one client worth $18k, but I keep wondering if the slow burn would have paid off more. Anyone run both and have a real number on which one actually moved the needle for you?
The part about the "slow burn" paying off more is where I'd push back a little. LinkedIn ads for 6 months at $2,400 is $400 a month, which is not much at all. That gets you a tiny trickle of impressions and maybe a handful of clicks, not a real push. I've seen people spend that and get nothing but a few profile views. Meanwhile you turned that same money into an $18k client in one shot. The math here is not close. Sure, the show could have flopped too, but it didn't, so trust the result you actually got.
