PSA: I ran a test with two email subject lines for our latest case study

We sent half our list a subject line with a number and the other half a question. The number one, 'How a 15% cost cut was found by one client', got a 22% open rate. The question, 'Want to see a real cost saving story?', only got 11%. The clear win was being specific upfront. It took two weeks to see the full results. Has anyone else found that numbers beat questions in B2B email subjects?

Numbers work because they set a clear expectation. People are busy and a specific result tells them it's worth their time. I've seen the same thing with our own client emails. A question can feel like a guess, but a hard fact promises a real answer inside. Your two week wait for full data is also a good point, it takes time for the full picture to show.

Exactly. Hard numbers cut through the noise.

My friend tried a question subject line and got half the opens. Numbers win.
