The time I accidentally emailed a client the internal notes about them

I was sitting in my home office in Austin last Tuesday, about to send a follow-up to a client, and I hit reply instead of forward on an internal thread. The body was full of stuff like 'client is confused about their own data' and 'he keeps asking for free strategy calls.' It took me three frantic hours and a pizza apology to smooth it over. Has anyone else's Gmail tabs betrayed them like this?

Did you try owning the mistake immediately? That disarms them fast.

Used to fight it, but you're right. Owning it kills the fight fast.
