Walked through a trade show floor last month and realized I've been doing ABM all wrong

I was at the B2B Marketing Expo in Chicago in March. Heard three different vendors pitching their ABM platforms, and it hit me - I've been treating account based marketing like just another email blast. One guy said 'you're not targeting accounts, you're targeting people inside accounts.' That simple line changed how I think about everything from content to follow ups. Has anyone else had that moment where a dumb observation on a convention floor rewired their whole strategy?

@parkermorgan, that cereal aisle story really hit home for me, haha. I had almost the same realization at the grocery store last week when I finally admitted I can't just buy whatever looks good and hope for the best.

Yeah I had that moment standing in the cereal aisle at Target actually.

@parkermorgan honestly the cereal aisle is the worst for that. I started making a list before I even leave the house and I stick to it no matter what. What worked for me was only buying one kind of sugary cereal per trip and grabbing a big bag of plain oatmeal too. Keeps the meltdowns to a minimum, lol.
