Weird referral database I avoided for 2 years actually works

Back in 2021 our agency in Columbus was drowning in cold outreach. I kept ignoring the referral feature in our CRM, figured it was just another gimmick. Then a pastry chef client of ours sent over two restaurant suppliers through it, just clicked a button on their invoice email. Within 3 weeks those two leads closed for $12k total. Now I check that thing every Monday, still feels odd admitting it works better than my old spreadsheet method. Anyone else find a tool feature they swore off that paid off?

Wait, a pastry chef clicked a button on their invoice and that closed $12k? That almost sounds too easy. I've been burned by CRM features before, so I get why you ignored it. But now I'm wondering how many of those little buttons I've been skipping over in our own system. Might have to actually look at that referral tab this week, though I'll probably keep my old spreadsheet as backup for a while.
