Can we talk about the Saturday I tried to hang one shelf and put 11 holes in the wall?
Two weeks ago my wife asked for one simple floating shelf in the hallway, and I figured it would take maybe 30 minutes. I hit a stud on the first try, felt like a hero, then watched the whole thing sag because I used the wrong anchors for drywall on the other side. Three trips to the hardware store and 11 holes later, the shelf finally went up, and I still had to spackle over the crime scene. My neighbor Dave came by, looked at it, and just said "that's not going anywhere" which felt like both a compliment and a warning. What's the worst hole count you've racked up on a job that was supposed to be quick?
