Duct tape and a coat hanger fixed my dryer for 6 months (yes really)
My dryer stopped spinning last March and I couldn't afford a repair guy, so I watched a video, opened the back, and found the belt had snapped. I had no replacement belt, so I looped a coat hanger through the pulley and wrapped it tight with duct tape, and it actually spun fine for 6 months before the tape finally wore through. Has anyone else had a hack like that hold way longer than it had any right to?
