Serious question, did I really need to rewire my mom's lamp twice in one weekend?
Last Saturday I tried to fix the busted switch on my mom's old desk lamp and somehow blew the breaker twice in 20 minutes. I had the wires crossed on the replacement socket and didn't notice until my 6 year old nephew asked why the kitchen lights kept going out. Third attempt finally worked, but now the switch is upside down and I'm too proud to flip it. Has anyone else fried a simple 5 dollar part and spent 3 hours on it?
