After 8 months of fighting with a coal forge, I switched to propane and actually finished a blade in one afternoon
Who else has dealt with a stubborn forge setup that just refused to cooperate no matter what you tried?

Forge setups are like bad relationships, sometimes you have to accept that coal just isn't right for you and move on. I spent a year trying to get a sideblast forge to work properly before realizing some designs were never meant to be efficient. Props to you for cutting your losses early and getting something done instead of banging your head against the wall.
