Best week I've had at the anvil in years, here's what clicked

Last Monday I finally got my hammer technique dialed in after messing with my grip for like 4 years. I was making bottle openers for a wedding order, 60 of them, and the first 10 came out so clean I actually stopped to take a photo. Has anyone else had that moment where a small tweak changes everything?

Was it the grip itself or your thumb placement that made the difference? I've been fighting with that same thing on my cross peen and need to know where to start.
