PSA: Those cheap harbor freight anvils are cast iron, not steel

After 3 months of use mine cracked clean in half on a simple upset and I saw sparks fly into my face.

The sparks flying into your face is just Harbor Freight's way of adding a little excitement to the job. I guess I'll stick with my railroad track anvil even if it looks like I'm forging on a piece of scrap metal. At least my face won't be part of the safety demonstration.

Yeah @nancy820, that Harbor Freight stuff throws sparks like crazy... maybe try a cheap face shield next time.
