Spent half a Saturday trying to fix a forge burner that wouldn't hold flame

My old forge burner kept sputtering out on me last weekend, so I tore it down thinking it was a clogged nozzle. Turns out the air intake was just a hair too open after I bumped it moving a workbench, and it took me about 4 hours of messing with jets and gas lines to figure that out. Anyone else ever chase a simple problem for way too long because you overthought it?

Always thought it was hardware problems first. That changed my whole troubleshooting flow now.
