Switched from coal to charcoal on a whim, never going back

Tried a bag of hardwood charcoal last Thursday after my coal supplier flaked. Heat control is way more forgiving, and I burned through a billet of 1080 without overheating it once. Anyone else made the swap or sticking with coal for a reason?

And here I was thinking I was the only one who ditched coal for charcoal. My anvil's never been happier, and my neighbors finally stopped complaining about the sulfur smell drifting into their laundry. I've got a nice little rhythm now where I can actually walk away for a minute without coming back to a glowing mess. Plus, cleanup's just a matter of sweeping up ash instead of chipping clinkers off the forge floor.
